Miroglio Fashion – this is the name of the joint venture raising from BCUBE and Miroglio Group’s M2Log – since the early 2018 operates two main warehouses - in Pollenzo (Cuneo) and Castagnole delle Lanze (Asti) - which jointly cover 90.000 sq/m dedicated to indoor warehousing of finished products, textiles and yarns. Miroglio Fashion is able to handle logistics for the entire supply chain, from the production of yarns and fabrics right through to the distribution of garments to shops, guaranteeing the highest standards of efficiency at every step along the way thanks to its technology and long-standing experience. Located in strategic proximity to the Miroglio Group Headquarters in Alba (CN), the distribution center in Pollenzo is a veritable citadel of logistics, completely dedicated to the fashion industry.

B FASHION, a joint venture between BCUBE and M2Log of the Miroglio Group, which has been active since the beginning of 2018, currently operates at two main warehouses in Pollenzo (CN) and Castagnole delle Lanze (AT) covering a total area of 90,000 covered square meters completely dedicated to both finished garments and fabrics and yarns.

THE WAREHOUSE

There are seven buildings in Pollenzo for a single logistics hub dedicated entirely to the world of fashion, capable of handling more than 20 million garments a year, customizing customer service down to the smallest detail, for truly tailor-made logistics.

Based on a modular structure, we are able to rapidly increase our production capacity without having to change processes in any way - a major strength in an industry undergoing such a rapid and radical transformation as fashion, which is increasingly oriented toward omni-channeling. This is possible thanks to the great flexibility of the WMS, which manages each customer as a specific project and can be subject to continuous improvement interventions, with maximum responsiveness.

NEEDS

The items handled in the warehouse range from hanging garments, to clothes, accessories, footwear, even wedding dresses: to meet the peculiar needs to each different brand, an area within the logistics hub has been dedicated, equipped with different technologies calibrated to the specific operational needs.

The Pollenzo warehouse is a dynamic reality, in constant transformation, able to change clothes according to market demands, following not fashions but according to a careful analysis of flows and needs to redesign layout and operations with maximum responsiveness.

In 2016, the company chose to equip itself with a WMS that was not only specific to the fashion sector, but was extremely flexible and still able to fulfill all the typical needs of the fashion industry.


"We were looking for a WMS solution that could best manage both the finished goods warehouse and the warehouse of raw materials and components for production logistics. After careful software selection, we opted to implement Replica Sistemi's StockSystem.

The software has supported us in managing the problems of numerous customers who nevertheless have different characteristics: a wedding dress undoubtedly has a different management than a pair of shoes. Above all, it has enabled us to be responsive and flexible in bringing in new customers and to carve out a tailored service for each one."

The solution designed with MIROGLIO FASHION had to respond to a high level of complexity generated by the wide variety of customers managed, differing in commodity types, volumes, distribution channels and dedicated technologies, such as automation, RFID and pick-to-light.

The WMS interfaces with sorter management systems and associates each lying sorter cell and each hanging sorter barrel with the destination point and requires confirmation before packing that what is prepared for shipment is congruent with what is expected.

Thanks to the system's interfacing with the software of express courier partners-integration with no less than 20 national couriers - packages are marked directly with the couriers' label: an important optimization since, given the high outgoing volumes, packages ready for shipment are taken directly to the central hub, without having to go through the local branch, with a net saving in time and a significant decrease in the possibility of error.

Reverse logistics flows are also managed in this facility: garments returned from stores are reconditioned to be brought back to the state in which they left the production departments and are, therefore, ready to be re-introduced into the sales channels, both retail and wholesale.

Thanks to the adopted operational strategy and the integration of StockSystem by Replica Sistemi, Miroglio Group is able to:

  • process a significant number of orders/hour, with a very high capacity for customization.
  • rapidly increase production capacity without having to change processes in any way.

  • have greater flexibility to respond quickly and radically to the transformation of the fashion industry, which is increasingly oriented toward omni-channeling.
  • adopt continuous improvement interventions on every project, with maximum responsiveness.
