The plant in Nova Milanese (MB) is structured as follows:
- 1,000 sqm of warehouse
- 4,000 total handled references
- 800 pallet stations
- 2 VLM Modula
- 5 arrival warehouse operators
- 7 shipping warehouse operators
NEEDS
Before the implementation of StockSystem there was no warehouse mapping.
The inventory used to be done yearly and there was no real-time knowledge of the stocking.
The main problems were:
- difficulty finding finished goods when preparing orders, because they did not always know where they were;
- uncertainty of inventories;
- frequent stock outages and consequent delays in order preparation;
- need to track finished products for possible recalls in case of returns or production defects;
- manual picking work with paper lists and without barcode readers, resulting in frequent errors.
