Sergio Rossi Spa

The Sergio Rossi brand was born in San Mauro Pascoli, Romagna, where the designer learned the craft tradition from his father and inherited the tools of the trade.

However, his story goes far beyond the simple transmission of knowledge from father to son. Sergio Rossi was able to develop far superior skills. By observing his father's gestures, he made the tricks of the trade his own and gained experience until they became natural, almost automatic movements. Those processes were reproduced and then perfected, as does a student who knows the subject to perfection.

Then, in the early 1950s, Sergio moved to Milan to study and gain experience. There he learned how to make the most of his passion for shapes, acquiring the know-how of the great shoemaking artisans, and two years later, at the age of twenty, he continued his apprenticeship with a specialization course in Bologna.
