The Frescobaldis run the family winery happily combining tradition, experience and innovation. Marchesi de' Frescobaldi chose to adopt Microsoft Dynamics NAV as the ERP for all the companies in the group. Numerous customizations and an increase in the amount of data to be managed in conjunction with the company's expansion had made the previous solution difficult to manage and with high maintenance costs.


Following a software selection, in which other solutions were analyzed, Marchesi de' Frescobaldi, a company that carries the value of Made in Italy throughout the world, confirmed its trust in Replica Sistemi as a technology partner to continue its growth path with the NAV Wine verticalization integrated with SMA.I.L:) Dogana with the SMA.I.L:) 2Mipaaf add-on.

NEEDS

Marchesi de' Frescobaldi has discontinued its previous management system in favor of Microsoft Dynamics NAV with verticalization NAV Wine realized by tehnological partner Replica Sistemi. 

The implementation of the Microsoft management system, which was released in January 2013, was coordinated by Replica Sistemi consultants.

"We chose Microsoft and Replica Sistemi because they are international companies, able to guarantee us the necessary support even in the international growth phase that the company is facing," Frescobaldi says. "The amount of data to be processed and the continuous customizations required over the years had made the previous solution complicated to manage in the face of high management costs."

Frescobaldi is a group of companies consisting of six wine estates in Tuscany and one in the Friuli area. Each is a separate company; they are separate organizations so that the character and uniqueness of the grapes of the territories in which they reside are assured.

IT is managed centrally by a five-person team that provides services to more than 200 people. Explains Claudio Corgnati, Director of Ict at Marchesi de' Frescobaldi Società Agricola: "Ict in Frescobaldi provides the company with many services: from production to administrative processes, from customer management to logistics and warehousing. We started considering renewing legacy systems when the complexity and cost of managing and maintaining them had become unsustainable."

The choice of Microsoft Dynamics NAV as the management software for all group companies followed a software selection process involving several companies.

"Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a highly flexible and modular solution. The move to Microsoft management software will allow us to make our infrastructure lighter and more manageable," Corgnati continues. "The possibility for our partner Replica Sistemi to be able to develop a specific verticalization for the wine sector, without losing the know-how acquired over the years, fully convinced us of our choice."
